Job Qualification

**Primary Responsibilities**:
Provide constant safety observation with one or two patients
Provide comfort measures as assessed by the RN/LPN as appropriate for the patient
Work jointly with the RN/LPN to ensure appropriate ongoing patient coverage is arranged when the attendant has to leave the bedside (i.e. breaks)
Report to the RN/LPN any issues or concerns related to the patient - e.g. in situation of potential harm, to actively prevent injury and involve professional staff

**Patient Attendants do not independently assist patient with activities of daily living such as bed baths, elimination, transferring, or document on the chart. However, they can assist the RN/LPN under their direction

**Qualifications**:
**Education**: High School Diploma or Some College
At least one year of recent personal care experience in a similar position or life experience in which similar duties were completed
Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, and hepatitis B
Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past five (5) years
Current First Aid Level A
Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate
Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire

Our experienced staffing coordinators, many of whom are pervious healthcare workers, understand your needs first-hand and will match you with the best shifts. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 12 hour shift.

Please note that based on recent government mandates and directives, healthcare workers are now required to provide proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination. If successful, new hires will be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to their start date.
