To support the delivery of a range of Day Opportunities for an individual who is visually impaired and has a learning disability. The service is based on a person centred approach and gentle teaching methods that meets individual needs and aspirations; fosters self awareness, personal growth and independence and provides the person the strongest voice with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices. The Support Worker will be responsible for providing support specifically to the individual daily needs.

**Education**:
Must have Grade 12 and Valid First Aid/CPR/AED Certification or willingness to obtain within 2 months.

Must have 3 years experience working with people with disability and an asset working with individuals with vision loss and Gentle teaching approach.

Must have valid class 5 Drivers license and access to a working and reliable vehicle.

**Skills**:Must have Strong Interpersonal skills and a desire to work effectively and individuals experiencing disabilities, co-workers and community partners

Must be open minded, creative, motivater, and positive attitude, effective time management and responsible.

Must be honest, compassionate, patient and kind. Must be reliable and adaptable.

Ability to be proactive and create fun opportunities for support.

Must speak English and good communication both written and oral.

**Salary**: $21.00-$25.00 per hour

- Day shift

- Regina, SK: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
