We are currently looking for Experienced Overhead Crane Operators to join our Structural Steel Fabrication Crews. The Crane Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating overhead cranes to lift and position large steel components used in the fabrication of modular steel structures. This role supports production workflow and ensures the precise handling of structural assemblies, adhering to company safety standards and fabrication schedules.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate overhead cranes to move steel beams, frames, and modules within the shop and yard
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and load plans to understand lift requirements
- Complete daily pre-use inspections prior to using a crane
- Rig loads using proper rigging, ensure rigging is correctly configured and secure
- Coordinate lifts with welders, fitters, and supervisors to maintain workflow efficiency
- Report any mechanical issues or hazards immediately
- Assist in modular layout and assembly by positioning components precisely per specifications
- Maintain clear communication with spotters and other crew members
- Keep work areas clean and free of obstructions; support shop-wide safety and housekeeping initiatives
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and required training sessions
- Perform other related duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Basic and advances rigging course considered an asset
- Minimum 2 years of crane operating experience, preferably in steel fabrication or heavy industrial setting
- Strong understanding of load charts, lifting angles, and crane capacities
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Team-oriented with good communication and situational awareness skills
