Edmonton, Canada XO Bistro + Bar Full time

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender/Server to join our team at XO Bistro + Bar. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and crafting delicious beverages for our guests. If you have a passion for mixology, a friendly demeanor, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

**Duties**:

- Greet customers and take their drink/food orders
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to ensure legal drinking age
- Upsell additional food and beverage items to customers
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system accurately
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Monitor alcohol consumption and intervene as necessary to prevent overindulgence

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Bartender or in a similar role is preferred
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink prices
- Strong hospitality skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and payment handling
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines when handling beverages and garnishes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in a restaurant or bar setting is a plus
