**Responsibilities**

**Note: Foreperson-specific responsibilities are in addition to the general roles and responsibilities of a Concrete Mason.**
- Oversee the concrete crew, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to project plans and specifications.
- Plan and assign tasks to crew members, produce schedules, and ensure work progresses on schedule.
- Accurately measure, record, and report quantities for materials and labor.
- Accurately report employee time and ensure proper documentation.
- Perform, record, and report vehicle/equipment pretrips and pre-shift huddles.
- Identify and resolve issues related to projects, materials, equipment, and crew members.
- Mentor and train crew members on safe work practices, equipment operation, and concrete techniques.
- Address and resolve conflicts between crew members to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Act as a liaison between management and the crew, conveying instructions and updates, and reporting on progress.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures on the job site, ensuring workers wear appropriate safety equipment and follow safe work practices.
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment, ensuring they are operated safely and maintained properly.
- Ensure adequate materials are available for the project, manage inventory, and order supplies as needed.
- Effectively manage time and resources to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Collaborate with other trades and departments to ensure projects are completed successfully.
- Resolve issues between workers and encourage suggestions to improve productivity.

**General Requirements**
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as required.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols and SWPs in construction.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation, provide driver abstract.

**Concrete Foreperson Requirements**
- Proven experience as a Concrete Foreperson or in a leadership role within the concrete industry.
- Strong knowledge of concrete materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and project plans.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
- Previous experience in managing and training a crew of concrete workers.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Valid Level 1 or 2 First Aid Certificate or willingness to pursue.
