**Evening Health Care Aide (Part-Time) - Personal Care for Male Quadriplegic**

Middle-aged male with C5/6 quadriplegia is seeking a mature, reliable female caregiver for evening care (2.5 to 3 hours per shift) approximately 12-15 evenings per month in Whitemud Oaks, South Edmonton.

This is a permanent, part-time position in a quiet residential setting. You will be joining a stable team of five dedicated caregivers, most of whom have been with me for many years. I’m looking for someone who is honest, dependable, and who has long-term outlook, to complete our team.
- This job is good for someone who already has a main source of income and is looking to supplement it with meaningful, stable, part-time work in the evenings._
- A quick learner who is observant, careful, and detail-oriented
- Flexible, consistent, and reliable
- A good communicator who works well with others and understands the importance of teamwork in a small, interdependent care team
- Does not have other evening commitments so you can occasionally cover for other team members
- Lives within a 30 minute drive of Whitemud Oaks (due to short shift durations, this job is not ideal if you live far away)

Schedule & Compensation
- 2.5-3 hour evening shifts, usually ending around 11:00-11:15 pm
- Approximately 12-15 shifts/month, with a mix of weekday and weekend evenings
- Flexibility required for occasional earlier or later evenings
- Alternate weekends off
- $22.50/hour starting wage
- Weekend premium provided

Care Tasks Include
- Brushing teeth, bathing, and evening hygiene
- Assisting with transfers using an overhead ceiling lift
- Removing compression stockings and undressing
- Foley catheter care, bowel program with enema
- Cleaning and managing urinary appliances
- Skin inspection and light wound care
- Administering medication, vitamins and supplements
- Night positioning for sleep
- Tidying the care area before leaving

**Requirements**:

- Must have your own reliable vehicle (unfortunately, public transit is not an option at this time of night)
- Provide character or employment references
- No caregiving certification required but experience is an asset
