Directional Driller

**POSITION TITLE**:Horizontal Directional Drillers

**LOCATION**:Oshawa, Port Perry

**REPORTS TO**:General Manager

**Rate of Pay**: $34-40/ hour

**SUMMARY: Total Cable Contracting Inc. is the fibre optic construction division of Vianet, a telecom provider that builds, owns, and operates fibre optic and wireless broadband networks across Ontario and has been in business for over thirty years.**

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Work as part of an HDD crew installing Fibre to The Home (FTTH) and long-haul fibre networks.
- Safely operate various trucks, trailers, and construction equipment as required.
- professionally interact with the public.
- Safely transport equipment to the job site

**EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED**:

- Previous work experience as a directional driller and locator
- Able to read and understand locates, conduit plans, and work orders to ensure conduit plans are installed correctly.
- Ability to perform physical labour for extended periods.
- A valid class AZ or DZ driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract
- An upbeat attitude with a positive approach to work, punctual and reliable
- A team player with the ability to work well with others and assist other field crew members when needed.
- Able to work extended hours as required and in all weather conditions.
- Ensure the safety of the job site and maintain equipment.
- Knowledge of Book 7 is an asset.

Pay: $34.00-$40.00 per hour
