**Donor Relations Specialist, Canada**

**Purpose of the Job**

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities**
- Utilize donor incoming calls to upsell for further contribution, donation and partnership.
- Manage existing constituent records and follow up all required updates.
- Maintain and update records in the Salesforce database by inputting accurate data.
- Record donor and sponsors' payments, update payment methods, resolve declined donations, etc.
- Perform all donor and sponsor customer services duties such as calling to resolve an issue, answering questions, sending out necessary information, etc.
- Develop new and creative ideas for taking Coptic Orphans' customer service to a new level.
- Perform other tasks as necessary.

**Required Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills**
- Undergraduate or graduate degree with 3 to 5 years of professional experience.
- Some fundraising or marketing experience.
- Detail-oriented and able to strategically implement production processes.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented with excellent follow up skills and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
- Exceptional telephone etiquette and communication (oral and written) skills in both Arabic and English.
- Proficiency with database or contact management software such as Salesforce is required.
- Excellent team work and communication skills.
- Persuasive, polished and articulate communicator; must be comfortable on the telephone with stakeholders.

**Extend of Public Contact**
- The Donor Relations Specialist is often one of the primary point of contact for donors. S/he speaks on behalf of Coptic Orphans with partners, stakeholders, and interested parties, thus, s/he must fully understand the organization's work.
- S/he must understand the cultures of all the different areas where Coptic Orphans works, and be able to connect with people from many different walks of life.

**Physical Demands**
- Limited to walking and occasional lifting of boxes and luggage.

**Work Conditions and Environment**
- Flexible to travel throughout Canada, at times with little notice
- Flexible to work in weekends and evenings
