**About the Opportunity**:
**One Person One Record (OPOR)** is a vision and strategy for health in Nova Scotia. It will provide a foundation for improved health system governance, integration of patient information across the care continuum, and standardized processes and practices. This strategy contains multiple projects.

**OPOR Clinical Information System (OPOR-CIS)** is the replacement of the three existing hospital information systems with a core clinical information system while simplifying the clinical systems environment and enabling it to be extended into the community.

OPOR Clinical Standardization, CIS design and adoption is the organizational focus on implementing governance, evidence informed best practice and standardization. This work supports the overall OPOR Strategy and is foundational for the implementation of OPOR-CIS.

OPOR Clinical Standardization, design and adoption represents a coordinated approach to the development and delivery of provincially adjudicated clinician developed clinical standardization.

The IWK and NSHA’s One Person One Record (OPOR) Program provides facilitation and support to the deliver the OPOR Clinical Standardization and Implementation project.

The lead will support interprofessional, multi-organizational teams and numerous working groups responsible for the development, adjudication and implementation of evidence informed best practice and standardization within the OPOR Program.

**About the Opportunity Continued**:
The **Clinical Interprofessional Lead **is responsible for providing oversight for the development of clinical standardization and process to support the implementation clinical standards and documentation. The Clinical lead leads clinical care process design and reviews activities across the IWK and NSHA to ensure maximum benefits and enhancements are achieved.

The lead independently addresses issues and makes decisions of moderate complexity with little or no supervision, delivers clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues across the organizations.

**Responsibilities**
- Leading the analysis and dissemination of best practice standards and content. This includes but not limited too:

- Best practice guidelines
- Clinical documentation
- Required organizational practice
- Policy
- Clearly communicating with direct care providers staff and senior leadership across the IWK and NSHA
- Facilitating consensus and decision making across broad stakeholder groups
- Being organized, outcomes driven, preparing work packages and decision documents for review by stakeholder/working groups
- Having the ability to understand and support system level impacts and decisions while narrowing focus to translate and communicate stakeholder impact effectively
- Other duties as required to support OPOR clinical standardization & Implementation

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Undergraduate degree in a health related field required, consideration may be given to those with appropriate training and work experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a clinical environment required
- Experience in Oncology preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the implementation of evidence-based practice in a clinical setting
- Demonstrated leadership in clinical and policy change
- Broad knowledge of the applicable standards of practice and guidelines for clinical care
- Demonstrates strategic, creative and strong analytical and organizational skills
- Uses effective leadership, facilitation, communication and negotiation abilities to achieve consensus, resolve conflict, achieve desired outcomes and address potential barriers to success
- Demonstrated ability to create and execute plans and ensure timelines are met while working with a variety of stakeholders
- Exercises initiative, self-direction and problem solving abilities to identity gaps and opport
