**Role**

The Optician is a dynamic Optical leader who takes charge of all aspects of the retail business related to eyewear. With a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service, they elevate the customer experience and fulfill optical needs with precision. Collaborating closely with store leaders, the Optician plays a vital role in driving sales and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure success in the optical department. **Responsibilities**
- Act as a floor leader, supporting the team to create a premium in-store experience.
- Mobilize and inspire the team to achieve business goals.
- Demonstrate best-in-class customer service and set an example on the sales floor.
- Support the team in developing optical knowledge and actively coach them on the floor.
- Exceed sales goals by providing customers with information about the brand, mission, and product details (fit, feature, and design).
- Responsible for training new employees in the optical world, including reading prescriptions.
- Assist the store manager by providing ongoing training to all employees.
- Be a brand ambassador, reflecting BonLook's company values and brand image at all times.

**Optical responsibilities**
- Ensure precise and accurate optical measurements, expertly adjust, and fit eyewear.
- Thoroughly inspect finished eyewear to meet both BonLook standards and customer preferences.
- Demonstrate an exceptional level of product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
- Gather valuable product feedback for the merchandising team's continuous improvement.
- Adhere to provincial optical board guidelines to maintain compliance and quality.
- Cultivate strong customer relationships to drive business growth and loyalty.

**Qualifications**
- Must be able to work full time
- Must be Licensed Optician in good standing with the respective association to the province of practice
- Sales experience (an asset)
- Passionate about fashion, eyewear, and the retail industry
- Great at communicating clearly and effectively
- Extremely detail oriented and a master at time management
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
- Ability to use store provided optical tools, such as automatic lensometer
- Ability to train optics to the sales team
- Bilingual

**Work conditions**
- Permanent full-time position
- Must be available days, evenings and weekends
- Employees receive a free pair every three months and get receive a discount for friends & family

- Percentage of commission on sales + base salary
