**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Under the direct supervision of the Manager - Regional Surgical Services, the Advanced Care Practitioner is responsible for providing leadership and an advanced level of clinical practice. Key responsibilities include providing education to all stakeholders; facilitating interdisciplinary processes across the organization and working collaboratively with clients, surgeons, managers, administration and, potentially, outside funders.

**WHAT YOU BRING**
Education/Experience:
- Current registration with The College of Physiotherapy of Ontario (CPO)
- A minimum of five years’ experience in orthopaedics
- Completion of a prescribed training period with clear learning objectives and demonstrated outcomes
Skills/Abilities:
- A demonstrated commitment to evidence based practice and ongoing professional development
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage a clinical practice in a health care setting
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Demonstrated commitment to people-centred care approach and principles
- Strong project/time management, analytical/critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to use independent judgment and maintain confidentiality of records, actions, and information
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work
Conditions of Employment:
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory **Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)**where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
