Our Sault-Ste-Marie, ON location is currently recruiting for a full-time Counter Person/Delivery Driver. Counter Person/Delivery Drivers are responsible for both inside sales (telephone and in-person) and the efficient delivery of our products (both parts and accessories) to our customers. As Counter Person/Delivery Drivers interact directly with our customers and have a direct impact on customer buying decisions, it is an essential part of their role to provide exceptional customer service at all times.
As a member of our team the Counter Person/Delivery Driver will advise customers, handle payments, process returns/exchanges of merchandise, complete deliveries on a pre-determined route and will also:
- Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicles
- Answer incoming calls in a prompt and courteous manner
- Welcome walk-in customers and offer your assistance/knowledge
- Resolve customer complaints or concerns professionally and effectively
- Update the Store Manager and/or Dispatcher of any complications with regards to store or customer related matters in a timely fashion
- Reports any vehicle problems to the Dispatcher and/or Store Manager
- Maintain a clean driving record at all times
- Other duties as required
- Valid Class G driver’s permit
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, spoken) required
- Proficiency in French (reading, writing, spoken) an asset
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Confidence and aptitude to work unsupervised and independently
- Experience working in a team-based environment
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver
- Knowledge of the Sault-Ste-Marie area (streets, landmarks, etc.)
- Comfortable with lifting (up to 50lbs)
- Knowledge of automotive parts and accessories an asset
- Superior time-management skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail
- Previous warehouse experience in shipping and receiving (an asset)
- Knowledge of automotive parts and accessories (an asset)
- Knowledge of tools and equipment (an asset)
