**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
McDougall Energy is looking for a forward-thinking, strategic individual as a **Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)**. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the Director, FP&A is a highly visible senior member of the Finance team, responsible for critical functions including forecasting, reporting, and analysis. Responsibilities include:

- Lead strategic budgeting and drive the execution of our annual zero-based budget and in-year forecasting processes including the consolidation of projected results across multiple entities and business lines ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with departmental leaders to devise best-in-class approaches to forecasting, leveraging insights to achieve precise budget outcomes.
- Continually enhance the reporting standards, establishing a singular source of truth that delivers clear insights and accelerates the delivery of company KPI’s.
- Develop and refine financial models through a strategic lens, highlighting trends and assessing both current and future business risks and opportunities.
- Lead and mentor a dynamic team of Senior Financial Analysts within the FP&A department, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and excellence.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial planning and forecasting in a computerized and accounting software environment
- Degree in Accounting or Finance with a Chartered Professional Accountant Designation
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, designing reporting templates and communicating results
- Superior organizational, project management, and time management skills to meet aggressive deadlines and frequent changing priorities; demonstrated continuous improvement mindset
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience supervising a finance team, including hiring, training, workloads, schedules, and deadlines.
- Pro-active team player with a positive attitude and absolute commitment to delivering a superior customer experience for McDougall Energy customers
- Exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency with all Microsoft Office software products
- Knowledge of Workday Adaptive Planning considered an asset
- Understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles
