looking for a
**Full-Time Exterior Maintenance Technician** to join our Residential Rentals tam in Brantford

About the Role:

- The Exterior Maintenance Technician ensures that all aspects of the grounds and outdoor areas of Sifton-owned townhomes, common areas, and parks are well maintained and safe, providing a pleasant environment for our tenants and the community.
- In addition to landscaping, patio leveling, retaining walls, and drainage, the Outdoor Maintenance Technician is responsible for exterior building maintenance and repair, including roofs, eavestroughs & soffit, window and door sills, and brick repair and garbage collection and snow removal.
- The Outdoor Maintenance Technician works collaboratively to address work orders in a timely fashion while providing an outstanding customer service experience.

Experience & Qualifications:

- Prior experience in a landscape or grounds maintenance environment preferred.
- Experience in general repairs such as caulking, asphalt repairs, patio/ stone work, water leaks and drainage intervention; maintenance experience of garbage / recycling, lawn maintenance/ snow removal
- Working at Heights certification, required
- Ability to perform physical job functions during all weather conditions
- Strong maintenance/ repair aptitude, and ability to multi-task and complete a variety of general maintenance repairs.
- Able to work independently with accountability and flexible to work with other team members as required.
- Displays initiative to problem-solve and engage with tenants and team to achieve positive outcomes
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong customer service focus, respectful of privacy and personal spaces with a positive and friendly demeanor
- General awareness and a strong commitment to the safe operation of grounds maintenance equipment and other safety protocols.
- Self-motivated and energetic, able to work well within a team environment. Good communication skills and a positive customer service focus.
- Dependable transportation; valid driver’s license and ability to report for flexible work schedules.
