The Cafe Attendant is responsible for taking customer orders, accepting various forms of payment, and serving the customers either at the food counter or table. The role also involves preparing Sandwiches, speciality coffees and other food & beverage items. As well, keeping all stations clean. Multi-tasking required at peak times.

Job Duties:

- use a cash register to take customer orders, accept payment and give change
- answer customer questions about menu items and serve customers at counter
- preparing food such as sandwiches, milkshakes, coffees and coffee related beverages.
- clean and sanitize all manual and electric appliances
- Record temperatures of hot and cold foods
- clean and sanitize areas including, work surfaces, cupboards and storage areas, as well as dispose of kitchen garbage
- clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
- help other workers who prepare or serve food and beverages.
- sweep and mop floors, and perform other duties to assist team members
- unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, cupboards and storage areas
- orderly unload trucks picking up or delivering food and supplies

Job Requirements:

- Ability to deal well with a variety opeople, team player
- Responsible, reliable, honest
- Physical Demands
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Some heavy lifting and able to use ladders and step stools safely.
- Acceptable oral and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00 per hour
