Bakery Assistant

**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the preparation and baking of cookies.
- Decorate cookies and other baked goods with attention to detail and creativity.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas in accordance with food safety standards.
- Package baked goods for display and sale to customers.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their selections and answering any questions they may have.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.
- Follow recipes accurately to maintain product consistency and quality.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines while handling ingredients and finished products.

**Requirements**:

- Must have a valid food handlers certification
- Previous experience in a bakery or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of cookie decorating techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with food preparation methods and cooking techniques.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Experience in food handling practices to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for baking and an eagerness to learn new skills within the food industry is essential.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
