**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding routes, schedules, and any issues that may arise during transportation.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Assist with minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
**Skills**
- Proven 2 years flat deck experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair for minor vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
