Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is seeking a

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Performs concrete and asphalt in-situ testing;
- Generates QC submittals as needed or assists the Quality Manager in the request, reviews and controls of timely receipt of QC submittals from suppliers;
- Prepares quality documents such as forms, procedures, and plans as per QMS requirements;
- Develops and maintains project ITP;
- Performs field QC activities as outlined in the specification requirements and/ or inspection and test plans, such as daily subcontractor oversight, subgrade inspections, HDPE liner installation, equipment inspection, material inspection, material sampling, rebar inspections, etc;
- Coordinates and/ or performs testing activities based on forecasted schedule to be completed;
- Ensures field work is being carried out following relevant project documents (plans, procedures, work instructions etc.);
- Identifies non-conformances or potential non-conformances and raises them to the QC Lead for capture and correction;
- Prepares daily QC reports detailing QC activities completed and their statuses (e.g. Monitoring of sensitive installations or conditions, Recording areas of failed tests);
- Notifies the Quality Control Lead and the Site Superintendent of fieldwork that is carried out incorrectly or its execution will result in a non-conformance;
- Performs in-situ compaction testing of material, in addition to collecting samples of the material for gradation and proctor results.

Skills / Qualifications:

- College Diploma, coupled with 2-5 years construction project related experience;
- Qualified to perform field testing for concrete, aggregates, and asphalt;
- Strong Microsoft Applications experience, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
- Strong communication and writing skills (Reports neatly written, legible, and provide a good understanding of the conditions in the site for the day);
- Ability to read drawings and perform inspections accordingly;
- Strong organizational skills, judgment and flexibility;
- Must be able to obtain Reliability Status Clearance, which requires an applicant to have lived in Canada for the past 5 years - Additional security clearances will include, criminal record check, police check and credit check;
- Exposure to an ISO 9001 QMS is an asset.
