**PART TIME LINE COOK**

Join our passionate team at Plant Matter Kitchen, a high-volume plant-based restaurant in Worley Village, as a Part-Time Line Cook. We are seeking an experienced individual who can excel in a fast-paced environment, run a busy service, and contribute to our commitment to sustainable, plant-based cuisine.

**Responsibilities**:

- Execute a variety of dishes to our high standards, following established recipes and culinary techniques.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely execution during busy services.
- Take an active role in reducing wastage through proper portion control and utilizing ingredients efficiently.
- Assist in ordering produce and other necessary ingredients as required, ensuring freshness and availability for our menu.
- Contribute to inventory management by monitoring stock levels and participating in regular inventory checks.
- Embrace a team player mentality, supporting and communicating effectively with colleagues in our open kitchen setting.
- Maintain a presentable appearance and uphold professionalism in accordance with the standards of our open kitchen concept.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef on menu planning, daily specials, and scheduling.
- Demonstrate quickness and efficiency in food preparation, while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a line cook in a high-volume restaurant.
- Strong culinary skills and a genuine passion for plant-based cuisine.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively run a busy service.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work harmoniously in an open kitchen environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Experience in inventory management, ordering, and reducing wastage.
- Availability for flexible shifts, without late nights or super early mornings

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-20 per week

**Salary**: $15.50-$21.14 per hour
