**Summary of Duties**:
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Assets and Projects, the Manager, Corporate Asset Management (CAM) is responsible for the strategic direction and operation of the Corporate Asset Management Unit. This position coordinates and embeds sound asset management principles and practices across the organization while also implementing systems and processes to ensure longevity and sustainability of municipal assets. This position provides leadership and direction in asset management for all functional areas involved in planning, maintaining or operating the City’s municipal infrastructure assets that are directly owned by the City, or included in the City’s consolidated financial statements and responds to all media inquiries regarding asset management.

**Work Performed**:

- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for asset management to meet the Council’s Strategic Plan to develop, implement, maintain and review the Corporate Asset Management Policy, Asset Management Strategy and Asset Management Plans.
- Provide leadership for the planning, management, and administration for the Corporate Asset Management team; recommend, develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive policies, programs, procedures and protocols that support best practices in asset management.
- Provide updates and information to the Director, Corporate Assets and Projects on priorities with responsibility to operationalize identified goals and strategies.
- Lead the development and sustainability of the City’s Corporate Asset Management plan by engaging internal Steering Committee members comprised of senior leaders from various Service Areas to ensure a highly coordinated and effective approach to the planning and implementation.
- Provide professional opinion, and information to the Senior Leadership Team, Directors and Committees on policies, programs, and services as required.
- Contribute to the identification and development of internal controls in the form of policies, procedures, practices in relation to the general and specific risks of the Corporation; ensure internal controls are implemented, monitored and reported on within the Corporate Asset Management.

- Oversee a team of employees. Provide leadership in the execution and delivery of services and programs in the following areas of accountability:
- Lead and chair the Steering Committee and implementation task teams to develop, implement and maintain appropriate business processes and systems.
- Provide data analytics and modeling techniques to support Service Area optimization of the asset management system.
- Update and present the Corporate Asset Management Plan and provide annual updates to Senior Leaders and Council.
- Lead CAM software implementation and coordinate the ongoing use of CAM software to optimize use and effectiveness.
- Lead and facilitate leadership level discussions regarding integration of Asset Management Plans across the City’s Agencies, Boards and Commissions (ABCs), monitoring and promoting opportunities for integration and provide advice and guidance on the development of their Asset Management plans.

- Align the Asset Management program with approved City of London plans, strategies and policies that reflect the Corporate direction and community requirements.
- Coordinate City-wide Asset Management progress tracking to ensure the asset data is up-to-date and proactively managed within a structured framework that allows the Corporation to effectively manage and optimize the performance of its asset portfolio.
- Support Senior Leaders and Directors in the identification, assessment, evaluation and recommendations of action plans related to changing business requirements and processes, demonstrating commitment to the management of assets in compliance with regulations (O. Reg 588/17).
- Contribute, facilitate, and support regulatory reporting requirements including support for Financial Statement reporting.
