The Avenue Road Music and Performance Academy is a dynamic, inclusive arts education space dedicated to nurturing creativity and excellence in musicians and performers of all ages. We offer high-quality instruction in music, theatre, and performance in a supportive and community-oriented environment.

**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide private and/or small group instruction in brass and/or woodwind instruments (e.g., trumpet, trombone, saxophone, clarinet, flute, etc.)
- Develop individualized lesson plans that promote technical skill, musicality, and creativity
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, auditions, and examinations as appropriate
- Communicate regularly with students and families about progress and goals
- Maintain a welcoming, professional, and inclusive studio environment
- Collaborate with other faculty and participate in academy events as needed

**Qualifications**:

- Degree or diploma in music performance, music education, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience teaching brass and/or woodwind instruments
- Strong musicianship and communication skills
- A flexible, student-centered teaching approach
- Experience in both classical and contemporary styles is an asset
- A current Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one)

**Schedule & Compensation**:

- Part-time, primarily weekday afternoons and evenings and/or weekends
- Compensation commensurate with experience

Pay: $55.00-$95.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 10 per week

Work Location: In person
