The responsibilities of the Job Coach are to work collaboratively with the school team, the participant and the employer to provide ongoing supports that result in positive work outcomes. The Job Coach will be aware of and follow the guidelines and appropriate terminology for the portrayal of persons with disabilities and be familiar with the philosophy and values of supported employment
**Responsibilities**:
1. To participate with the school team and each youth in the program and implementation of individual growth plans (EIIP) behavior support interventions, and the individual crisis management plans.
2. To provide positive role modelling to youth, to conduct themselves as a caring adult authority figure, and to make decisions in the best interest of the youth.
3. To develop and implement skill acquisition training plans.
4. To facilitate group projects and provide youth opportunities to volunteer within the community as well as paid projects.
5. To follow a program of service delivery designed to reduce individual dependency on the Job Coach.
6. To practice effective time management.
7. To familiarize employee with safety issues within working environment.
8. To identify tasks specific to a particular job.
9. To perform baseline assessments.
10. To complete on the job training and coaching when required
11. To accompany the participant to the job site.
12. To keep in regular contact with the employer and the employee.
13. To attend team and supervision meetings.
14. To perform other duties and assignments as may be required to support the employees.
15. To ensure timely and accurate information on a daily basis concerning the progress and the needs and behaviors of youth and to follow ENYR policy on reporting and documenting critical information.
16. To learn and operate by the agency’s philosophy, policies, and procedures.
**Qualifications**:
The Job Coach will have a combination of education and experience related to working with youth and will possess personal attributes that facilitate the development of trusting and caring relationships with youth. Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, traditions, and beliefs is an asset. Criminal Record Check and a valid class 5 driver’s license are required
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.47-$31.67 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
