Job Summary

The Mechanical Project Coordinator supports the planning, execution, and closeout of mechanical construction projects, with a primary focus on HVAC and plumbing systems. This role works closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with day-to-day coordination of HVAC and plumbing projects
- Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals for mechanical systems
- Coordinate shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
- Liaise with consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams
- Support procurement of HVAC and plumbing materials and equipment
- Monitor project costs and assist with budget tracking
- Maintain project documentation, reports, and records
- Assist with site coordination, inspections, and commissioning activities
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Support project closeout activities, including as-built drawings and O&M manuals

Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in mechanical construction projects
- Hands-on experience with HVAC and plumbing systems
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with construction processes, scheduling, and coordination
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); knowledge of project management software is a plus
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience working with contractors or MEP consultants
- Knowledge of local building codes and industry standards
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of cost control and procurement processes

Working Conditions
- Combination of office and site-based work
- May require site visits and coordination meetings

Pay: $43,743.71-$60,000.00 per year
