This is a full-time (~40hr/week, Monday to Friday) seasonal role starting early April and wrapping up in late October. Rarely do we ask for overtime. There are too many fun things to do at Whistler to work all the time.

**Job overview**

Landscape Maintenance Field Staff are responsible for contributing to all aspects of landscape maintenance as part of one of our Commercial or Residential crews as directed by your Crew Lead.

**Generally speaking**

You’ll perform work as directed by your Crew Lead on a crew of 2-4 people. For most of the season, you’ll work at the same properties every week on a set schedule.

Tasks will include:

- Site cleanups (raking, blowing, shovelling)
- Mowing, line trimming and edging lawns
- Blowing yard debris
- Weeding and pruning
- Cultivating garden beds

- You like to have fun. Some days are tough due to foul weather, project surprises, challenging personalities, or difficult work but you’re skilled at modelling fun no matter what.
- You sweat the details. We don’t cut corners and quality is critical.

**Requirements**:

- No previous landscape maintenance experience required
- An able body that can handle physical tasks all day long. Able to lift 50lbs over your head many times throughout the day.
- Secondary school diploma
- A working visa or permanent residency

**You’ll need**
- Steel toe boots and sun protection (hat, sunscreen)
- Blue, black or grey pants or shorts

**Compensation and benefits**
- $24.75 - $27.5/hour depending on qualifications and experience
- Profit share plan eligibility
- A health spending account
- Weekly payroll
- Overtime pay (1.5x) for any hours more than 40 worked in a week
- During high summer months, work 9hr days and take every second Monday off
- Access to subsidized shared staff accommodation during busy season (Apr-Oct) if necessary. This could be a short-term landing spot for you while you sort out long-term accommodation.
- Support for ongoing training and education after one full year of employment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 7 months

Pay: $24.75-$27.50 per hour
