**Seeking music teachers - $30-35 per hour**

**Job description**

Teaching individual lessons in students’ homes.
- Teachers drive their own vehicles to students’ houses and earn a per-lesson wage.
- Teachers must follow protocols based on COVID (wearing a mask, social distancing within lessons, Teaching lessons outdoors if possible).
- We create routes that make sense for teachers and their schedules.
- Set your own schedule but know that most lessons will take place Weekdays - primarily afternoons and early evenings.
- Ideal position for a session musician or a university music student.
- Preference given to teachers with basic proficiency in multiple instruments.
- Currently seeking teachers for **Voice, piano, guitar, and ukulele**:

- Our organization handles all of the scheduling, payment, marketing and administration. Just show up and teach.

*These are independent contractor positions.*

**Responsibilities**:

- Working with students from a range of backgrounds with a range of learning styles.
- Helping students to create learning goals and making them accountable to those goals.
- Working within a fluid curriculum to touch on various foundational aspects of music.
- Learning complex songs by ear and arranging them to match the skill level of the student.
- Keeping lessons fun and entertaining while encouraging self regulation and discipline
- Maintaining a tight and punctual schedule and keeping solid records of attendance.
- Growing with our organization, being accommodating to customers and maintaining a steady line of communication with everyone involved.

**Requirements**:

- Must have your license
- Must have a reliable vehicle
- Experience teaching music is preferred
- Solid understanding of music fundamentals including theory, rhythm, dynamics, standard notation, improvisation, etc.
- Knowledge of educational principles, how to assess different types of learners, how to build relationships, constructive feedback, managing learning goals, etc.
- Good repertoire of popular music to teach to all levels of experience.
- Bondable and good with children
- Preference given to multi-instrumental teachers.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 months

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 35 per week
