About Us:
We are a non-profit basketball program dedicated to providing youth with opportunities to develop their basketball skills in a supportive and competitive environment. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduler to join our team and manage the scheduling for our upcoming season.

Position Overview:
As the Scheduler, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the schedules for practices, games, and events throughout the season. This role requires working closely with various groups, including teams, referees, the board of directors, and the school districts within Red Deer to ensure smooth operations. You must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling the nuances of different groups (RDMBA, Referees, and School Districts).

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and coordinate season schedules for practices and games.
- Create game pairings for league play and work with the board to finalize important season dates.
- Secure gym slots from the Red Deer Public and Catholic School Divisions for practices and games. This will require a close working relationship with the booking coordinators at these districts.
- Post and manage schedules using the Sports Engine platform (experience with Sports Engine is a bonus).
- Scheduling other gym or classroom or alternative venues for other programs such as board meetings, Jr Referee clinic, and coaches training session (NCCP).
- Schedule Jr. Referees for U9, U11 and U13 games as needed.
- Produce the game schedule for CABOA (Central Alberta Basketball Officials Association) referees, adhering to their timelines and requirements for the Spring Season.

Qualifications:

- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in computer usage, particularly scheduling software and platforms (Sports Engine experience is preferred).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating schedules, especially for sports leagues or teams, is an asset.
