Reporting to the Autobody Shop Supervisor, the Autobody Technician will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on the company’s fleet of heavy equipment, trucks, and other vehicles. This includes conducting bodywork, refinishing, and general maintenance tasks to ensure all vehicles are in optimal working condition. The Autobody Technician will document all repairs and services performed, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures. This position is based in Lundar, MB, with camp accommodations provided for employees residing outside of the area.

**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**:

- Repair and restore damaged motor vehicle body parts and interior components.
- Maintain the cosmetic appearance of equipment through washing, sanding, and painting.
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking.
- Repaint body surfaces and repair or replace automotive glass as needed.
- Operate tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Provide labor support to other workers as required or assigned by supervisors.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, including parts used, labor hours, and services performed.
- Perform routine inspections on vehicles and equipment to identify necessary repairs or maintenance.

**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:

- Previous experience as an Autobody Technician or similar role.
- Certification or training in autobody repair or a related field is preferred.
- Red Seal Certified or apprentice would be considered an asset.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment specific to autobody repair.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including body structures, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Ensure safety is a top priority at all times.
- Ability to self-start and take initiative on tasks.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written as well as electronically.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be able to manage priorities, perform a variety of tasks and meet targets.
