**Key Areas of Accountability**
**1. Operations & Culinary Development**
- Helping foster a great work environment & team focused on excellence, quality & team work.
- Market Man - Assisting with inventory management, cost controls and food cost reporting, food waste, finding solutions and resolutions as required.
- Help lead forward the “from scratch” kitchen menu & development including brainstorming & planning with Chef on ingredients, plating, techniques & flavours.
- Assisting in schedules and training while being mindful of labour costs and bottom line.
- Assisting with upkeep of recipe books & allergens
- Overseeing kitchen operations and leading by example in the kitchen, cooking, prepping and showing the team the hands on approach.
- Helping drive handmade pasta program (tortellini, gnocchi, egg dough etc)
**2. Maintenance & Environment**
- Ensuring all kitchen and back of house equipment is in good working order, reporting and assisting in resolution when needed.
- Ensuring Food Safety Records, Certificates & Sanitation plans are followed, keeped up-to-date and upholding safety & standards of cleanliness through the BOH.
- Ensuring food safe protocols, cleaning standards and food storage requirements are followed and recorded per Fraser Health food safe guidelines.
- Ensuring all kitchen checklists are being followed and completed daily to maintain cleanliness and food standards.
**3. People & Culture**
- Coordinating, motivating & mentoring the team and maintaining a healthy workplace culture within Amici & WorkSafeBC standards.
- Training & overseeing chefs, cooks & stewards and correcting issues, techniques & procedures.
- Inspiring growth and relationship building within FOH and BOH teams through tours, demos, communication on culinary trends and educational opportunities.
- Assisting in performance reviews through ongoing feedback and reviews, ensuring staff are accountable to company vision and standards.
- Ensure all aspects of Admin and HR policies and procedures as well as Health & Safety standards are adhered to and all training materials & processes are up-to-date and followed.
- Helping discipline and hire as needed

This role will be responsible for the guidance and leadership of bar staff and ensuring education and training around drink menus are facilitated. They lead by example and contribute to a culture of accountability and achievement. The Bar Manager will maintain business operations by upholding Amici processes and policies, helping to provide day-to-day solutions in support of the growth and development of the company.

The food menu will feature a unique twist on classic recipes, designed for any occasion - family-style dinners, date nights or just a casual bite to eat or drink with 'friends'. _Salute_

Pay: $17.40-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
