Our mission is to create memorable dining experiences for every guest, and we need a skilled Cook Supervisor to help lead the charge in our kitchen for Hespeler’s Cookhouse and Tavern. This position is full-time with a flexible schedule.

What you’ll be doing:

- Assist the Head Chef in daily operations, ensuring seamless teamwork and high-quality results.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Prepare, cook, and plate meals as indicated on menus.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency to maintain our high standards.
- Train, mentor, and motivate the kitchen team to achieve their best.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Manage inventory and oversee food preparation schedules.
- Collaborate with management to refine recipes, develop menus, and minimize waste.
- Ensures the sanitary handling of dishes, food, equipment and cleanliness of related work areas.
- Attends and participates in department and site meetings and/or in‐services as appropriate.
- Communicates effectively and fosters a positive working environment as a member of the team.
- Works harmoniously within the team and collaborates with other departments of the Campus and service providers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need:

- Minimum 3 year's experience working in a commercial or institutional kitchen.
- Certification from a recognized Food Handlers Training Course.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
- Mental and physical health to meet demands of position.
- Passion for food and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Able to follow direction from multiple individuals.
