**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Manage and train staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance. Control of daily operations with proper planning and organization
- Plan methods and sequence of repairs within the shop
- Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies and outside purchases
- Negotiating pricing, ordering parts and materials as required to perform assign repairs. Returning any unused parts as required.
- Maintain and ensure care of all tools, shop equipment and materials
- Ensure all records kept are legible and/or in compliance and completed
- Communicate with staff and management professionally with respect, honesty and accuracy
- Ensure all schedules of repairs are met, safeties / licenses are completed by due dates and regular maintenance scheduled and observed
- A good working knowledge of heavy equipment and heavy vehicles in both operation and mechanical functions
- Plan budgets for repairs and provide options if budget exceeds expectations

**Qualifications**
- A technical school certificate or equivalency and experience in shop operations
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record is an asset

Pay: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Heavy equipment operation: 5 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- Fluent English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
