Math Skills Project Facilitator

The Math Skills Project Facilitator will support the development and implementation of a new Math tool, “MyOpenMath”, at Sheridan. This tool will be built and aligned to the LMS to support students and faculty with online Math Supports. The incumbent will implement “MyOpenMath” courses for a variety of levels e.g. basic, intermediate, advanced across multiple programs. They will work in collaboration with the Math Skills Coordinator to ensure courses are designed at the appropriate levels for students. They will consult with tutors to better understand bottleneck topics to design courses and modules at the appropriate student level. They will support strategic conversations with relevant college partners (e.g. faculty members, Associate Deans, SPARK) to ensure close alignment to course content with limited barriers to access. They will also assist the Math Skills Coordinator in the development of Math Skills Modules and/or content in the Math Skills Hub and the Academic Skills Hub. The incumbent will act as a resource for tutors in the absence of the Math Skills Coordinator.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Developing courses and content in MyOpenMath;
- Developing content for the Math Skills Hub and other related activities in the Academic Skills Hub;
- Connecting with tutors to plan content at the appropriate level;
- Supporting student tutors with Math-related questions and content design;
- Performing other duties as assigned.

- Must possess a minimum 4-year degree in Computational Math, Math Studies, Applied Math, Statistics, or a related field;
- Must possess a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in coding language i.e. PHP, HTML, Iatex, etc.;
- Experience in diverse, fast-paced office environments dealing with confidential information.
- Has good communication skills, ability to prioritize, manage time effectively and do research;
- Experience with the MyOpenMath platform is an asset.
