Parking Access and Revenue Control (PARC) Specialist

The Parking Access and Revenue Control (PARC) Specialist is a multi-faceted position that assists with overseeing all operational requirements for YVR Parking Operations. This position serves as an extension of the Parking Supervisor and daily operational duties include regular equipment maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime. Conduct audits of Automated Parking Systems (APS) and pay station machines to verify accuracy, functionality, and compliance with established procedures. Conduct daily parking lot audits to identify any issues, such as equipment malfunctions, signage discrepancies, or safety hazards, and take appropriate corrective actions. Assist with managing parking operations during peak periods, special events, or emergencies, ensuring smooth traffic flow and optimal customer experience.

***Role Responsibilities**
- Knowledge and capacity utilizing company software and procedures.
- Providing clear instructions to customers and or airport employees.
- Resolution of customer complaints.
- Responsibility for the safekeeping, maintenance, and appropriate use of all equipment/technology issued.
- Conducting Parking Lot counts and initiating contingency processes when it reaches its capacity.
- Issuance of violation and or tow notices to illegal parkers.
- Conducting lot patrols across YVR properties.
- Ability to work overnights, weekends, and statutory holidays.

***Position Specific Qualifications**
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, MS Word, Excel, Everbridge, and Adobe.
- Class 5 Driver's License & Clean abstract, with no more than 2 minor infractions in the last 2 years

***Experience**
- 2 years experience in the parking industry (an asset)
- Some knowledge of the industry and general knowledge of parking operations
- Demonstrable ability to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced and pressurized environment.
- Confidence in conflict resolution
- A combination of experience and education will be considered.

***Other Attributes / Abilities**
- Proficient in the English language both written and verbal is necessary; proficiency in another language is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal ‘soft’ skills,
- Comfortable working in a fast-changing dynamic atmosphere with multi-functional and multi-departmental levels
- Ability to make quick decisions with limited information and prioritize subsequent tasks quickly
- Ability to be adaptable, flexible, and use common sense.
- Used to working and adhering to company procedures.
