As a **Baker/Pastry Cook**at our central bakery, you will be responsible for daily prep, baking, scaling, mixing, and making all kinds of cakes, desserts, batters, doughs, and ice creams. You will be the magic behind the desserts that Canadians have loved for over 35 years
Previous experience or education with baking or pastry is a must.
This is both a full-time and a part-time position, with morning, afternoon, and evening shifts available.
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare, scale, mix, bake, and make different kinds of cakes, batters, doughs, pastries and ice creams
- Set up, maintain, and clean your stations & equipment (mixers, work areas, etc)
- Prep ingredients, organize and conduct lot tracking for traceability
- Ensure items are made consistently, on time and perfectly each time
- Maintain both workplace safety and food safety at all times
**Requirements**:
- Able to work quickly and efficiently while multitasking
- Able to learn quickly, follow directions, maintain a clean station, and be organized
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time & move and lift up to 40 lbs
- Experience with mixers, ovens, stoves
- Meticulous and detail oriented from accurate measurements of small ingredients to lot tracking
It is accessible with public transportation and has plentiful on-site parking.
The position requires the ability to work in temperature controlled environments.
