**RESPONSIBILITIES** - Will be required to rotate, record, and pick packaging daily according to the production schedule in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring FIFO is followed. - Will be responsible for recording lot numbers of all packaging picked - Must be capable of completing all production and Q.A. paperwork pertaining to the job - Will be required to assist in daily housekeeping duties - Must be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks at the same time. - Will be required to report any shortages to supervisor - Will be required to assume other duties deemed necessary by the Company - May be required to assist with annual inventory - Maintains a high standard of Health and Safety, strictly adheres to Health & Safety SOPs - Maintain a high standard of Quality and Food Safety - Strictly adhere to SOPs pertaining to Quality & Food Safety, must follow Company Policies, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures - Complies with Safety regulations as stated within the Health & Safety Act - Forklift Battery Maintenance Management **QUALIFICATIONS** - G.M.P’s and HACCP training is required - Must be very flexible, be a team player, and have the ability to work with minimum supervision - Must have excellent work ethics and attendance record - Knowledge of WHMIS is required - Will be required to perform physically demanding work - Must have a valid Reach Tow Motor License - Must have good command of the English language - Must be willing to contribute to a safe working environment - Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted - Basic mathematics skills required - Must have basic computer skills including use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Work and SAP and be able to navigate through various programs in the Windows environment - Demonstrated performance and reliability - Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships - Strong communication and interpersonal skills **OPERATION OF MOBILE EQUIPMENT (Training Provided)** - Must have received and passed training for the safe operation of a mobile equipment - Must operate equipment in such a manner as not to damage packaging materials, finished product, or company property **FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY CONTROL RESPONSIBILITIES** - Must comply with all GMP (General Manufacturing Practices) and understand the importance of Food Safety as the key priority in our business. - Must comply with all other food safety rules and practices and Sanitation SOP’s (Standard Operating procedures). - Actively maintains good housekeeping of the work areas. - Actively observes and maintains the expected product quality. - Monitors and fills in all required documentation **HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES** - Must follow all Health and Safety rules of the company consistently - Is required to communicate safety violations and/ or safety issues to lead hand and / or Supervisor. - Must attend training for handling of chemicals, WHMIS etc. **COMMUNICATION AND TEAM WORK** - Communicates frequently with peers and Supervisors on issues of quality, health and safety and operations. - Demonstrates flexibility and works together with the team to achieve on time performance and targets **ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS OF THE POSITION** - Working in our Food safety environment has a high requirement for detailed and very structured and at times monotonous and repetitive work; Food safety requires a disciplined approach towards work that ensures consistency and control for the health and safety of our customers and consumers. - Physical demands of the job vary from the mechanical/production environment to the packaging and the sanitation environment; considerations to take into account are as follows and are different from job to job: - Some work will be done in a cold environment (i.e. coolers < 4 deg C). - Repetitive lifting of equipment, tools etc. from light to heavy (up to 50 lbs) is to be expected daily. - Repetitive Reaching, Bending, Twisting, Squatting to various degrees is to be expected daily - Hot (Production) or cold (Cooler/ Packaging) environment - Use of, with and around mobile equipment is required **OTHER** - Adhere to all the Company’s rules, policies and procedures - Performs other duties / jobs throughout the plant as assigned by Supervisor - Must be willing to work weekend shifts **About Olivieri**: We are America’s largest processor, marketer and distributor of branded and private label rice products.
