Experienced Autobody Shop Management

Vickar Autobody and Glass North is recruiting **experienced** autobody management staff who are looking to demonstrate their ability to lead and grow a body shop team, to achieve personal and profit goals, and for industry professionals interested and confident in their ability to expand their leadership/supervisory skills with focus on business integrity and a culture of safety and respect.
Management staff:
- Forecast goals and objectives; develop action plans to achieve.
- Develop an annual operating budget and function within scope while maintaining high quality collision repairs and restorations.
- Provide innovative and action-forward business and marketing strategies to drive customers through our doors.
- Recruit, select, schedule and direct staff.
- Facilitate apprentice agreements and associated technical training opportunities to appropriately advance staff.
- Provide structured and supportive leadership that promotes confidence from the team and an eagerness from each employee to achieve personal and group success.
- Process payroll and work closely with accountant to maintain proper records for government reporting and audit preparedness.
- Ensure all required industry safe work procedures are properly developed, training implemented, and implementation.
- Keep apprised of industry advancements in technology, tools, processes and legislation.
- Provide detailed weekly business reports to owners.
Supervisory staff:
- Monitor shop productivity and supervise activities, assisting in any area where required (as training allows).
- Timely ordering of all parts, supplies, tools and outside services.
- Ensure fair estimates for repair costs and time requirements.
- Knowledgeable with MPI processes and
- Maintain regular progress communication with customers and effectively handle any concerns.
- Monitor customer service surveys and develop response processes.
- Hold team-building actions/activities to foster an enjoyable and inclusive workplace where employees take pride in their own workmanship and that of the overall group.
- Lead daily site safety as the Employer Safety Representative, jointly inspecting the department and processes for proper standards in conjunction with the Worker Safety Representative (must be well familiarized with relevant Workplace Safety and Health legislation).
As an industry professional you have a solid understanding of other duties involved and have the passion to be an effective leader, actively engaging with your team in their daily activities; assisting where needed and advancing career paths to those who show interest to excel.
Compensation to be negotiated based on relevant experience.
