Health & Safety Instructor (Part-time, Calgary)

**Salary: $31.00 - 36.00 per hour**

Worksite Safety *is expanding its instructor-led training team to meet an increasing demand for construction, oil & gas, and manufacturing safety education. If you are a knowledgeable and experienced health and safety instructor who is passionate about keeping workers safe, then this role is for you

This part-time hourly based position could be delivering Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, First Aid, as well as Energy Safety Canada (ESC)-approved courses at our Calgary Training Centre and occasionally at other sites across the province. The role reports to the Manager, Instructor-Led Training and working hours will be approximately 16 - 34 hours per week (2 to 4 classes) from Monday to Saturday potentially, scheduled in advance.

As a Worksite Health & Safety Instructor your **key responsibilities** are:

- Delivering engaging and informative training sessions
- Evaluating participants through practical skills and written evaluation
- Organizing, filing and submitting digital and hard copy participant records following training
- Providing direction and advisory services to assist clients with health & safety programming and compliance
- Participating in team meetings and instructor development workshops
- 3+ years’ experience delivering safety training
- Training experience in Fall Protection, ESC-certified courses and/or Red Cross First Aid preferred
- Background in construction, oil and gas management and/or occupational health & safety preferred
- Forklift, Elevated Work Platform and Confined Space Entry and Rescue experience an asset
- Strong presentation and adult-engagement skills
- Responsible self-starter who can work independently, while also contributing to the instructor team
- Valid Alberta Driver Licence - occasional travel by car for work
- Reside and able to legally work in Canada
