Responsibilities would include: - Assist in the completion of various month end tasks including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations - Responsible for booking payroll entries and the management of the accounting for employee benefits - Monitor daily banking transactions to ensure all entries are booked and reconciled. - Prepare schedules related to various tax filings such as HST returns, Corporate income tax returns and SR&ED claims - Assist with tax provisions, filings and other adhoc duties. - Be involved in the review of accounting policies and ensuring that transactions and account balances are in accordance with ASPE - Participate in gathering documents and supporting schedules for our external auditors on an annual basis - Has two years of experience in an Accounting firm or industry - Has a University degree - Has a CPA Designation or working towards a CPA designation - Preferably has a Graduate Diploma in Accounting or Masters of Accounting - Will have expert excel skills and be skilled in standard office software - Has excellent verbal and written communication skills **Salary Range**: $70,000-$80,000
