ABOUT THE ROLE
As the HR People Coordinator within our dynamic SOCAN HR Team you will be responsible for administrative, talent, training and systems support in addition to advising employees on general employee inquiries across all business units. This position reports to the Director, Human Resources.
WHAT YOU’LL DO / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Support - 35%
- Draft letters relating to employment verification, contract extensions, benefit changes, compensation changes and other letters as required
- Enter, update, and maintain accurate employee details in HCM, ensure proper documentation is obtained
- Assist with payroll, management and maintenance of employee files
- Process and Manage IT ticket process
- Manage HR inbox
- Maintain contractor database and management of on/off boarding
- Process invoices and maintain budget tracking
- Complete HR projects as assigned
- Provide French translations support
Talent - 20%
- Coordinate full recruitment cycle including postings, developing interview questions, resume screens, assessments
- Prepare job offers, process background checks and completed onboarding paperwork, HCM workflow approvals, creation of personnel files prior to first payroll
- Educate hiring managers on the recruitment process
- Assist with maintaining partnerships with agencies, employment services, local colleges and universities
- Maintain accurate applicant tracking in HCM
Training - 20%
- Deliver day 1 HR orientation and coordinate onboarding
- Coordination all HR trainings, Education Assistance, Wellness programs as well as corporate (NEO) orientation
Health & Safety - 15%
- Represent HR on Health & Safety committee
- Assist with health and Safety projects and initiatives
Payroll/Data/Reporting - 10%
- Produce and present weekly/quarterly HR highlights reports and analytics
- Generate and distributes various HR reports from HR as needed
- Compile data and conduct research as required
- Enter, update, and maintain accurate employee details in HCM
- Assist with data entering and processing payroll
WHAT YOU WILL BRING / QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education
Experience
- Member of HRPA, an asset
- Experienced in HCM systems or DayForce, an asset
- Experienced in Microsoft Office - (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Fluent in French, an asset
