**General Duties**

Reporting to the Plant Manager this position has the overall responsibility to maintain a clean and safe environment for the daily operations of the building and outside grounds.

Removal of garbage & recyclables. Cleaning of offices, boardrooms, lunchrooms and washrooms.

Keep organized, clean & well stocked janitorial closets, monitor supplies & advise when necessary supplies need ordering.

Perform outdoor upkeep as necessary, including mowing grass, upkeeping flower beds etc., shoveling snow, maintain all entrances & walkways.

Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting, drywall repair, changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, replacing ceiling tiles etc.

Other duties as assigned.

**General Qualifications Required**:

- Criminal record check
- Experience working with cleaning materials and chemicals
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to push, pull, bend and lift
- Knowledge of WHMIS

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
