**Position Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare deli items following standardized recipes and procedures.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and create production lists.
- Innovate new recipes and products to enhance the deli program.
- Assist customers and provide product information.
- Conduct inventory counts as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and adhere to sanitation standards.
- Serve customers from the deli showcase as needed.
- Follow all food safety protocols, including FIFO (First In, First Out) and proper hygiene practices.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of seafood products and food preparation techniques.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Food Safety Certification is an asset.

**Food Safety & Hygiene Requirements**

Employees working in food handling areas must:

- Maintain cleanliness and wear sanitary attire.
- Secure hair and wash hands regularly.
- Remove any jewelry that could pose a contamination risk.

These practices align with the Nova Scotia Food Code to ensure a safe and hygienic work environment.
