**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain contact with relevant industries.
- Maintain professional and ethical relationships with students and colleagues.
- Develop and revise course material and curriculum continuously to ensure relevancy to industry standards and maximize student success.

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Operational and working knowledge of professional-level video cameras and all necessary accessories and supporting equipment. This includes full-size ENG style cameras and smaller pro-level cameras like the Panasonic DV200.
- Experience in using DSLR cameras and mobile phones with external audio equipment.
- Experience in field lighting techniques.
- Experience in visual storytelling and sequencing and using a variety of microphones to gather industry-level audio.
- Experience in the various techniques of video acquisition and editing of different types of video content. These include news-style production, documentary, commercial, EFP production, and sports.
- Experience in live production in a controlled studio environment and a working knowledge of the systems involved. These include but are not limited to Pro-level video switchers, graphics software, audio control room, studio bulkhead operation, studio cameras and pedestals, lighting systems, and intercom systems.
- Live directing experience and working knowledge of newsroom content management software.
- Produce and direct a student-based live studio production.
- Experience with Adobe software, primarily Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and Audition for post-production.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field.
- Shooting, editing, and live production experience in the broadcast industry is essential.
- Previous teaching experience would be an asset.

**Remuneration**: Will be commensurate with education and experience PLUS a comprehensive benefits package. (Instructor salary grid $2,462.86 - $4,284.36 biweekly however starting salary for a new hire averages between $2,984.26 - $3,503.70 biweekly based on education and experience) (Classification - NASA Instructor)
- This position is covered by the NAIT Academic Staff Association (NASA) Collective Agreement._
