**Job Summary**

The Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist role is a key member of the operations group making things happen on a day-to-day basis. You will be working in a dynamic and growing company with a humanistic workplace that values your creativity. The operations team is going through a business transformation focused on collaboration and end to end process standardization, optimization, and digitization.

The goal is to move product from where it is to where it needs to be, as efficiently and sustainably as possible. You will be working with Commercial and other support functions to strategize on the best approach and continuously evolve the business as the environment changes.

**Responsibilities**
- Supporting commercial team in moving products regionally and globally
- Negotiating various types of freight contracts (rail, ocean, trucking)
- Negotiating various types of terminal and warehousing agreements
- Developing a strategic approach to logistics management with business case development and implementation plan
- Conducting inventory management
- Working closely with various multi-disciplinary teams to determine the optimal strategies for the supply chain and participate in Targray’s growth strategy
- Defining the logistics strategies of a growing multinational company
- Identifying process opportunities for automation
- Performing data analysis
- Conducting cost-benefits analysis
- Developing recommendations based on thorough quantitative analysis and best practices including development and presentation of Business cases
- Acting as a change agent develop and promote Targray standard processes across organization
- Influencing and Relationship Management
- Partnering effectively across all business functions including Operations, IT, Finance, Commercial and 3rd parties, in order to ensure ongoing alignment of priorities

**Requirements**:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Operations, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or Engineering
- Solid computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint), SQL, Business Objects, Python and Power BI are an asset
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Experience in inventory management, logistics (ocean, rail, trucks) is an asset
- 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain & Logistics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills (bilingualism is an asset)
- Strong analytical skills
- Facilitation Skills
- Strong systems and data mining skills (Power BI, SQL, VBasic, SAS, GP, etc )
- Business acumen and technology savvy
- Capacity to think strategically
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and/or in a group setting as required, to create synergy
- Organized, attention to detail, resourceful, problem solver and enjoys a fast-paced environment
