**Fire Pump Testing Technician**

We have an immediate opening for this position in our Red Deer shop. Our company is growing Salary starts at $25.00 per hour and is reviewed after 3 months, then yearly.

**Requirements;**

Comply with company drug and alcohol policies including our customer’s policies.

Execute with great care, repairs, inspections, storage, handling or other work on fire trucks or equipment entrusted to you by our customers or on our demo / courtesy / rental trucks and service trucks.

Physically strong, able to lift 50 Lbs, Move fire hoses, hook up and disconnect from firetrucks.

Mechanically inclined,, centrifugal pumps knowledge is an asset.

High attention to detail.

Basic computer knowledge, working with Word and Excel specifically.

Working outside in a loud environment.

**Job Description;**

Hook up and disconnect fire pumps to a test facility.

Conduct a full pump test and record all results.

Verify all results to confirm the fire pump meets or exceeds the minimum requirements.

Determine any anomalies or defects during the pump test phase.

Make adjustments on the system during the pump test.

Assist shop technicians in repair, rebuild pumps and associated components.

Maintain all equipment associated with the pump testing facility.

Assist with any other tasks in the shop during down time.

Complete Emergency Vehicle Technician certification as required.

**What we provide;**

3 weeks holidays and 5 sick days/year
