Westcan Sign and Lighting, one of Alberta's leading specialists in the commercial sign and lighting industry, is seeking an experienced Commercial Sign Technician - Installer to join our talented and dedicated team in Edmonton.

Our organization works with some of the top commercial brands in Alberta, primarily in the manufacture, installation, and service of commercial signs (electric and neon).

**The Position**

While not an exclusive list of responsibilities, the successful applicant will perform the following duties:

- Installation and maintenance of all signage product offerings
- Experience with installing or laying of vinyl is an asset
- Comprehensive surveys for both quoting and fabrication purposes
- Effective use of both power and manual tools
- Travel throughout the Edmonton area and surrounding communities
- Consistently attend safety meetings
- Proactively maintain company vehicles, tools, and machinery
- Use of tablet technology to document job orders, including the taking of pictures of onsite-work as well as signing into mobile apps to meet customer documentation requirements
- Weekend and emergency work will be required as necessary
- Experience work at heights
- Aerial and crane certifications are assets

**What You Need**
- At least 1 to 5 years' experience as a commercial sign installer or related experience in a technical trade
- Some knowledge of the electrical trade
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong desire to exceed customer expectations at all times
- Attention to detail
- Ability to master mobile apps
- Valid driver license
- Experience with boom trucks is considered an asset
- Well developed work ethic
