Reporting to the **Estimating Manager**, the **Estimator,** based in **Markham, Ont**, will be responsible for estimating the rebars needed for multiple construction projects demands we receive from general contractors.

**Role and responsabilities**:

- Review computer bulletin boards, construction association project lists and provincial project bulletins for potential projects to tender;
- Oversee the acquisition of complete tender documents for takeoff purposes;
- Takeoff complete and accurate estimate for pricing;
- Provide budget quantities & suggestions for a customer's proposed projects;
- Provide quarterly & annual estimating statistics to assist in market analysis;
- Have a positive & helpful line of communication with the detailing departement;
- Participate and attend pre-tender award meetings, management meetings and staff meetings.

**General Skills**:
**Qualifications**
- College diploma in civil engineering, estimating or drafting;
- 3 to 5 years of estimating experience;
- Ability to work on mutiple projects;
- Autonomy, creative, flexible;
- High level of organization;
- Very good communication skills;
