**Family Counsellor - Supporting Healthy Transitions Program**
**25-30 hours per week from November 1, 2025 - March 31, 2026 (possibility of extension as a permanent position)**

The PACE Program is looking for a creative and flexible individual to join our supportive and skilled professional team within the **Supporting Healthy Transitions Program**_**,**_a unique and exciting collaborative venture with the Ministry for Children and Family Development (MCFD).

Our focus on this team is to provide support to children and their families as children move from one family to another. This could include working with biological parents and extended family, foster/out-of-care caregivers, and adoptive families.

The Family Counselor bridges connection between the families/caregivers involved to mitigate loss and to support attachment. Service includes therapeutic work with the children and families as well as close collaboration with Social Workers and other professionals in the child and family circle.

Service will be provided in Vancouver and Richmond. The role involves a blend of virtual work and site visits in the community.

**What you bring**:

- Relevant Master's degree or equivalent training from a recognized educational institute.
- 5 years experience in a counselling role, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working with child welfare required.
- Experience working with children required.
- Experience supporting Indigenous families an asset.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in trauma informed practice and systems approach.
- Sound understanding of child development, attachment, grief, loss and trauma issues.
- Experience working in collaboration with professionals essential.
- Experience working in collaboration with professionals is essential.
- Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a vehicle required.
- Current First Aid Certificate required.
- Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check required.
