**Job description**:
Position: Personal Support Worker (PSW)

Work Location: London, ON

Language of work: English

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: $23.00 per hour

Applicants should be willing to work in retirement, Nursing or LTC Home. Individuals preferably living in or near Cornwall, ON.

**Duties**:

- Adheres to the plan of care as determined by the care team
- Assists with resident/client personal care/hygiene, nutrition and activities of daily living
- Observe and report on changes in resident/client condition to supervisors on duty
- Supports residents/clients with cognitive/psychological deficits by utilizing care interventions to minimize potential for responsive behaviours
- Assists with ambulation, mobilization, transferring and adaptive aids
- Demonstrates understanding of resident/client needs and maximizes abilities
- Maintains resident/client information confidential
- Refers resident/client or family concerns to the nurse in charge
- Notifies supervisor of any concerns impacting resident/client safety
- Assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment, including resident/client equipment, belongings and nursing equipment
- Completes documentation in PointClickCare in POC and notes
- Completes all other tasks as assigned

**Requirements**:

- PSW Certificate or relevant Healthcare Training Certificate with Caregiving experience(experience in Healthcare facility preferred)
- COVID-19 full vaccination Proof is a must as per government's guidelines.
- TB Test (Valid and Recent)
- Vulnerable sector check form (Valid and recent)
- Immunization record (complete and valid)
- Other relevant Certificates e.g., CPR and First Aid
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English

- Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

**Work Schedules**:

- Day and Night shifts on Monday to Friday, weekends and holidays as needed.
