Our values of quality, innovation and relationships enables us to provide exceptional service and lie at the heart of everything we do._ **Position**: Packaging + Production Assistant **Location**: 50 Wagstaff Dr. - Pilot Coffee Roasters **Starting Pay**: $18.25 per hour **Primary Duties + Responsibilities** - Carry out all tasks required to process orders through various channels, which includes Business to Consumer (B2C) and Business to Business (B2B); - Pack products according to customer orders; - Bag and seal roasted coffee into packages; - Assist with labeling and packaging of coffee bags; - Monitor inventory to ensure sufficient stock levels, which includes managing and tallying of coffee inventory & retail products on a daily and monthly basis; - Assist with the ordering of day-to-day supplies needed; - Receive, stock, and organize products at the roastery; - Understand and adhere to Pilot’s health and safety practices; - Keep the packing line and production area tidy and organized by following daily and weekly checklists; - Have an understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of Pilot Coffee Roasters; - Adhere to KPIs set out for the Packaging + Production Team - Carry out all other reasonable duties assigned by the company **Skills + Experience** - Completion of secondary education is required - Possession of a valid G-Class provincial driver’s license is considered an asset - Possession of a valid Forklift License is considered an asset - Familiarity of iOS systems is considered an asset - Previous experience in a food production facility, packing line, or repetitive work environment is considered an asset **WORKING CONDITIONS** - Hours of operation at the site will vary depending on the needs of the buisness - Working schedule will generally be Monday - Friday, during the day, but may require evening and weekends depending on needs of the business - Work is performed in a warehouse environmentally with exposure to a motorized equipment is operated - Prolonged periods of sitting and standing are required on a daily basis - Requirement to occasionally assist with lifting bins full of roasted beans - Requirement to occasionally assist with lifting coffee bags - The noise level in the work environment is loud and will require proper ear protection to be worn. **DIVERSITY, INCLUSION + COMPANY PROFILE** **RECENT ACCOLADES** - _Growth 500, Canada's Fastest Growing Companies 2019_ - _RGD In-House Design Awards 2019, Award of Merit for Branding and Packaging_ - _Great Place to Work Certified 2019, and recognized on the following sub-lists; Best Workplaces for Inclusion, Best Workplaces for Millennials, Best Workplaces Managed by Women, Best Workplaces in Manufacturing, Best Workplaces in Ontario, and Best Workplaces for Women._ - Please note that we will only be contacting applicants who have been selected to move forward in the interview process.
