Within a multidisciplinary team, the Psychologist will provide professional psychological services within the mandate of the autism program. This position will provide case management support as well as a range of treatment services for children and families impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder. This person will also work closely with colleagues to develop parent programs and social opportunities for children, assist with development and delivery of groups, and liaise with external agencies that serve this population.

**Human Resources Exemption**:No

**Education**
- Masters in Psychology
- Registered as having Authorized Practice Endorsement with the College of Psychologists
- Registered or eligible for registration as a full practice Psychologist by the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists

**Experience**
- A minimum of one year (post Degree) of clinical experience in a child/adolescent mental health service setting.
- Experience with developmental and neuro-cognitive psychology

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- Knowledge of normal child and adolescent development and psychopathology. Knowledge of cognitive disability models with regard to mental health diagnoses from childhood to adulthood. Knowledge of interventions empirically validated or supported by best-practices literature.
- Experience in providing assessment and diagnoses in a mental health setting.
- Knowledge of assessment and treatment techniques appropriate to an aboriginal/multicultural population.
- Knowledge of community agency services to the cognitively disabled.
- Knowledge of and experience utilizing standardized psychometric instruments and neuro-cognitive screening tools and a wide range of measures typically used with children and youth.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Services Act, Family Services Act, and the Saskatchewan Model of Recovery
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team and independently to manage complex and multiple demands.
- Ability to cope with stress.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

**Other Information**
- Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
- Must have a valid drivers' license and be willing to travel
- Must have the ability and willingness to work evenings/weekends/stats
