**Job Description and Qualifications**
- Air Products Canada Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Air Products and Chemicals Inc., has manufacturing and distribution operations in Quebec, Ontario, and Alberta. Air Products core industrial gas business provides atmospheric and process gases serving a variety of customers in 50+ countries, including refining, chemical, gasification, metals, electronics, manufacturing, food and beverage, welding, and healthcare.
- Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, has an immediate opening for an Smart Electrical Application Analyst. This will be based out of our Edmonton, AB Region.- As a Smart Electrical Application Analyst, you will:
- Be the “front line” client support for Smart Electrical.
- Document work processes for all levels of Smart Electrical use and support (end users and other systems analysts).
- Communications, co-ordination, documentation, minor project management and advanced trouble-shooting.
As a Smart Electrical Application Analyst, you will have:
- An Engineering Degree (or equivalent: specialized training, certification, or appropriate work experience).
- Experience supporting Smart Electrical for 8+ years.
- Experience using or supporting one or more of the following tools: SmartPlant PID, SmartPlant Instrumentation, SmartPlant Electrical or Smart 3D preferred, but not required.
- Experience working in a Citrix environment.
- Understand of Smart Web API, but not a required.
- An ability to independently assess and prioritize competing urgent issues, whilst identifying areas for improvement in design processes and assist in creating and implementing said solutions.
- General understanding of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and processes.
- A desire for exposure to new technology opportunities.
- Client Support experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a global team environment.
- Strong problem solving & customer service skills.
- Ability to work with outside service/support providers and other third-party vendors
- A solid understanding of Windows OS.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server preferred, but not required.
- Programming experience, preferably with Microsoft C#.net.
